Trading platforms
Saudi Exchange's trading system was provided by NASDAQ OMX and was introduced in October 2007 and further enhanced in Q3 2015 with NASDAQ’s X-Stream INET trading platform.
Brokerage firms are connected to Saudi Exchange's platform which enables brokers to enter and amend sell and buy orders and obtain online market information and news.
The Saudi Exchange is an auction market with a quote driven system. Buying and selling investors submit orders via their respective brokers in the market.
