Mexico: Decommissioning of BIC BNMXMXMMCVT
Further to Announcement A20165, Clearstream Banking1 informs its clients that effective
31 May 2024
Citibanamex Securities Services will stop processing clients’ cash payment instructions sent to BIC BNMXMXMMCVT.
Impact on clients
By the effective date, clients are requested to make the necessary adjustments to their internal processes to send all their cash payment instructions only to BIC CITIUS33MER.
Citibanamex will not take any responsibility for unprocessed cash payment instructions sent to BIC BNMXMXMMCVT after 31 May 2024.
Background
Citi has completed the acquisition of Deutsche Bank Mexico. As a result, Citibanamex will be restructured, its institutional businesses, including Securities Services, will be divested and integrated into a new bank established by Citigroup and BIC BNMXMXMMCVT will be decommissioned.
