Investment funds in the Isle of Man are referred to as Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), and are governed by the Isle of Man Collective Investment Schemes Act 2008 (CIS Act), as amended.
Legal forms which CIS can be structured as include:
- Companies (Incorporated under the 1931 Act Companies or the 2006 Act Companies)
- Unit trusts
- Limited partnership (under the Limited Partnership Act 2011)
