Xact Web Portal: New ad hoc reporting functionality for Statements of Holdings

14.09.2023

Note: This announcement, originally published on 28 August 2023, has been amended to attach a side letter. More information about Xact Web Portal can be found in announcement C23024. Changes have been highlighted.

Clearstream Banking1 informs clients about a change to its service related to the provision of certified statements of holdings for external audit purposes, effective

18 September 2023

This change will facilitate and accelerate the provision of Statements of Holdings reports to clients by:

  • Providing direct self-service access through a secure channel via the downloading of reports to optimise report delivery;
  • Removing manual intervention on both sides;
  • Reducing the carbon footprint.

At the end of the last business day of each month, PDF versions of the MT535 Statement of Holdings and MT950 Money Statements will be available to be downloaded from the Xact Web Portal, either by the client or their external auditor if the required authorisation has been granted by the client. The generation of the statements is subject to a fee as specified in the latest Clearstream Banking Fee Schedule.

Alternatively, clients can also schedule, in advance, these reports via the Xact Web Portal under Report Centre/Manage Report Subscriptions.

The service available in its current form as described in Announcements A15139 and D15022 will no longer exist after 18 September 2023 and will be exclusively available via Xact Web Portal.

Clearstream Banking also recommends that clients inform their external auditors of this change and verify if access to Xact Web Portal is required. If deemed necessary by the client, such external access can be requested by using the attached side letter.

Any existing Service Agreement on Certified Statements of Holdings will be terminated with one month notice period before the next service execution at the latest and notified by authenticated message or official letter.
