Taxbox: Service enhancements and customer simulation
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers about an extended simulation phase for the Taxbox service, offered during
23 October - 8 December 2017
As announced in June 2017 with the publication D17037 “CBF Release in November 2017: Advance announcement of changes“, the Taxbox service will be prepared for enhancements linked to the German Investment Tax Reform Act (InvStRefG). The related changes will only come into effect on 1 January 2018 with the commencement of the German Investment Tax Reform Act. Technical specifications concerning message formats, XML structure and an FAQ document are available on the Clearstream website under Taxbox.
Customer simulation
From 23 October to 8 December 2017, CBF will offer a simulation phase for Taxbox participants to test the service extensions. The simulation will be set up in the CBF IMS23 simulation environment.
Participants are requested to prepare for the simulation phase and define business test cases for data transfers to other participating firms.
During the simulation phase, CBF will facilitate the technical data transfer between Taxbox participants, as long as their bank identifier codes (BIC or BLZ) are listed in the routing table. Participants are therefore requested to validate and update the routing table, if needed.
The different business test scenarios are to be reflected in data transfers. Participants will be responsible for the business validation of their test results.
The settlement of free of payment (FoP) transactions is not the focus of this simulation phase and will only be offered as part of the CASCADE simulation.
