CFF: First State Investment Funds (UK funds) migrate to new CFF account

Monday 30 June 2014

the administration of investment fund shares in First State Investment Fund (UK funds) listed in the attached spreadsheet will migrate from First State Investments to The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited.

As a consequence, customers of Clearstream Banking1 that hold positions in these investment fund shares and benefit from the CFF process and services will have to settle their trades in these funds against the FIA account of The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited.

Migration details

Scope: Please refer to the attached spreadsheet.

Migration Day (MD): Monday 30 June 2014.

Fund Issuance Account (FIA): 10516 The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited (please refer to the attached spreadsheet).

Timeline for process adaptations:

  • All trades with trade date on/after 30 June 2014 will use the CFF processes and settle against FIA 10516 of The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited.
  • Transfers with settlement date on/before Thursday 3 July 2014 will continue to settle according to the current process (that is, against First State Investments account 10070).
  • Transfers with settlement date from Friday 4 July onwards will settle against FIA 10516 of The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited.
  • Clearstream Banking will automatically transfer all positions to CFF. No action is required by Clearstream Banking account holders.
  • Customers are recommended to instruct transfers by end-of-day MD-2 in order to ensure execution before the migration.
  • All corporate actions with Record Date on/after MD will use the CFF processes.
  • All transfers (In/Out or between accounts) must be performed using the CFF processes for MD and later.
  • Pending transfers that do not follow the CFF processes will be rejected by Clearstream Banking in the overnight processing preceding MD and will need to be re-instructed by the customer on MD.
