U.S.A.: Transfer of shares in open-end mutual funds
Clearstream Banking1 informs Vestima Order Issuers (OIs) that effective
Monday, 7 December 2020
customers can instruct transfers of shares in U.S. open-end mutual funds eligible on Vestima via standard SWIFT MT540/542 message formats. These instructions will be alleged against a receiving or delivering agent REAG/DEAG: 50613 and contain the counterparty’s Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) in the BUYR/SELL field as per below:

SWIFT MT568/599 or Xact Web Portal/CreationOnline free format messages will no longer be supported for transfer instructions.
Note: The exceptional process of reflecting shares with a dividend distribution option to reinvest under a separate common code will continue. Customers wishing to amend their dividend option should instruct a transfer out (SWIFT MT542) of the common code/ISIN linked to their current holding and a transfer into the common code/ISIN of the new distribution option (SWIFT MT540).
