Holding restrictions
There is no restriction on investments by non-residents or on investments abroad by domestic investors in Belgium. There is no restriction on the import/export of securities.
Any investor, either individually or in concert, holding securities representing 30% or more of the voting rights in a company, is obliged to make a public offer to buy the remaining securities of the company. Further details can be found in “Corporate actions” under Market asset servicing.
