ClearstreamXact: Enhanced German Tax Voucher request functionalities

Further to Announcements C24018 and C22037, Clearstream Banking1 informs clients that effective

18 November 2024

enhanced German Tax Voucher functionalities will be available in Xact Web Portal and the German Tax Voucher Request Template.

Impact on clients

Xact Web Portal

It will be possible to request, correct and cancel Tax Vouchers from the Xact Web Portal without using the template (the template is recommended for high volume requests).

New Tax Voucher Request screen

A new screen is available to make tax voucher requests online without the need of the Excel template.

Tax Voucher corrections or cancellation

It is also possible to edit and easily correct mistakes on submitted requests and even issued tax vouchers. 

Cancellations of Tax Vouchers can now also be easily requested online at any time in its entire lifecycle.

Tax Voucher Request Template updates

The German Tax Voucher Request Template has been enhanced with additional fields to include the country of emission for for a Tax Identification Number, a second Beneficial Owner (if required) and the possibility to correct the information of a Tax Voucher.

Tax Identification Number (TIN) country for non-German TINs

If a foreign TIN is provided, the country of emission of the TIN has to be specified in a new field, under position 20 in the template.

Additional Beneficial Owner

New fields to allow a second Beneficial Owner (BO) are added at the end of the existing list of fields, from position 32 to 48 in the template.

In addition to the name, address and tax identifier fields for the second BO, there is a specific field under position 35 in the template to indicate that the second BO is the spouse of the first BO.

Corrections

Clients can now request to correct an error in a tax voucher request or an already issued voucher.

This is possible using new Correction tab in the Template as well as online in the Xact Web Portal.
