Clearstream Funds Summit in Paris in June 2004

Clearstream is pleased to be organising a French-speaking “Clearstream Fund Summit” for the French investment funds industry. The event will take place in Paris at the Palais des Congrès on Friday, 11 June 2004.

The summit is entitled “Fund Distribution in France: Challenges and Issues” . The agenda is available on our website and details the eminent speakers and key topics:

  • Joint report on current status of the French industry by AFTI-AFG/ASSFI

  • Clearstream’s initiatives in the funds market

The eminent speakers include Marcel Roncin, President of the French Association of Custodians (AFTI) (“AFTI.asso.fr” ) and Pierre Yves Berthon, Secretary General of the French Association of Asset Managers (AFG) (“AFG.asso.fr”) who will be presenting the results of a year long study about the current difficulties for fund distribution in the French market.

Clearstream is taking this opportunity to officially present its new service Vestima+ to the French market. Vestima+ offers:

Karine De Bondt, Senior Manager Investment Funds will be presenting the benefits of Clearstream’s new multi-domestic service by explaining the details of the very flexible solution where domestic and offshore market participants can elect which elements of a service they prefer in order to minimize their own costs and ultimately reduce the costs incurred by the end-investors.
