The following paragraphs provide an overview of the User Management
key elements:
>> An Organisation Unit (OU),
which is used to define the set of Resources
(e.g. accounts, contracts, participants...) and Business
Service (e.g. Collateral Management...) for a specific
Customer.
>>The User Management structure,
defined in three levels of OU's:

- Support OU:
this level is composed by one OU, only used by the
Clearstream Operation and Administrator users of the
Portal.
- Entity OU's:
this level defines all the Entity OU that compose
the Portal (e.g. Clearstream is an Entity OU).
- Customer OU's:
this level is composed by Customer OU. These OU's
are created only by Administrator users defined at
Suport or Entity OU levels.

user defined in the Portal
can belong to one and only one of the three following user types:
- Administrator users:
these users can only perform actions linked to the User Management.
They are not given access to any Business services. The Administrator
users are available at each OU level (Support, Entity and
Customer)
- Business users:
these users are allowed to perform actions linked to business
services and associated functionalities and resources.
- Operation users:these
users are created to support the Business users. They have
a read access on a specific range of OU's, including User
Management and some of business services.
