T2S Release R2025.FEB – 17 February 2025 - Update
Note: This Announcement, originally published on 27 August 2024, has been updated to inform about the extended scope of the CBF release and to confirm the successful implementation of the new software in the client simulation environment. Changes have been highlighted.
Clearstream Banking AG, Frankfurt1 informs clients about the TARGET2-Securities (T2S) Release R2025.FEB. According to the T2S Release Concept, the resolution for T2S Problem Tickets (PBIs) will be deployed on
Saturday, 15 February 2025
for the business day Monday, 17 February 2025
T2S Release R2025.FEB - Scope
Based on the T2S status reporting of beginning of January 2025, for T2S Release R2025.FEB eleven Problem Tickets (PBIs) have been scheduled for a delivery in production.
CBF’s assessment related to these Problem Tickets shows that the fixes will not require any changes in CBF’s software. CBF clients operating in DCP mode (as “directly connected participants“) can be affected by PBI 233990:
“Business Scenario Description:
The DCP sends semt.028 messages (Intra Position Movement Query) with status PACK (Processing status = Accepted).
Issue Description:
The DCP receives as response an unexpectedly empty semt.029 message, although one Intra-Position Movement should be included. The Intra-Position Movement was not cancelled and not settled what exactly corresponds to PACK status. In this case, the query did not work properly.
Current Workaround in Place:
Not use the status criteria PACK for semt.028 messages.“
T2S Release R2025.FEB – Transition plan
According to the T2S Release Concept, the deployment of T2S Release R2025.FEB into production will be effective as of business day Monday, 17 February 2025. The implementation of the software will take place during the weekend’s T2S maintenance window.

Client simulation
The updated software for T2S Release R2025.FEB has been installed successfully on Friday, 17 January 2025, in the T2S Pre-Production Environment (UTEST).
Clients can decide to enter regression test cases in the CBF Client Simulation environment (IMS23) until 29 January 2025. The already established static data for CBF accounts and the related connectivity settings in IMS23 remain unchanged. For regression testing, please send an email to t2s-support@clearstream.com to be registered as a tester and to receive more details about the simulation requirements.
