Finland: Clearstream Banking deadline for standard refund applications
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that effective
immediately
the customer deadline for submitting Finnish standard refund applications to Clearstream Banking is four months before the statutory deadline.
Impact on customers
Customers requesting a standard refund on behalf of beneficial owners that are eligible for a reduced withholding tax rate, are requested with immediate effect, to submit Finnish standard refund applications to Clearstream Banking within the above four month deadline.
All standard refund applications received after this deadline will be processed by Clearstream Banking on a "best-efforts" basis. However, in such situations, Clearstream Banking will apply an extra charge and accepts no responsibility for forms that have not reached the Finnish Tax Authorities by the date considered as being the statute of limitations deadline.
